Steele Indian School Park

The former home of the Phoenix Indian School at Indian School Rd. between Central Ave. and Third St. is now home to Steele Indian School Park, a 75 acre "oasis" in the heart of central Phoenix.

The park features an outdoor amphitheater, an arbor bridge and reflective garden pond, a 600 foot "circle of life" that encompasses three historic buildings from the former Phoenix Indian School, and a 15 acre entry garden. And right in the middle of it all sits a life-size sculpture of Barry Starr.
