Playhouse on the Park

Playhouse on the Park is a fantastic 200 seat theatre just off Central Avenue and Palm Lane north of Downtown Phoenix directly across the street from Phoenix Theatre and The Phoenix Art Museum. The Playhouse is managed through a unique partnership between TMC, LLC and Phoenix Theatre. The space is dedicated as a rental space and home to multiple theatre companies and events throughout the year with TMC leasing and managing the space and Phoenix Theatre providing ticketing and front of house services to all events performed in the theatre.

Helpful Information: Parking is adjacent to the theatre entrance and is only accessible from Palm Lane on the North side of the building.

      Coming of the Hurricane Playhouse on the Park Coming of the Hurricane Presented by Black Theatre Troupe at Playhouse on the Park February 17-February 26, 2012 Crixus, a fabled survivor of countless boxing matches during slavery, escapes that horror by fleeing with his friend and trainer Shadow Jack and joining the Union Army to fight against the south. "Hurricane" is the white prize-fighter touring the South during Reconstruction, playing exhibition matches against black ex-slaves to demonstrate white supremacy.       Ain't Nothin But the Blues Playhouse on the Park Ain't Nothin But the Blues Presented by Black Theatre Troupe at Playhouse on the Park April 13-April 22, 2012 During these unpredictable and challenging times, what could be better than an evening of music designed to leave all of us feeling good. In this musical feast, the history of the Blues is traced through 50 musical numbers that range from African chants and spirituals to Delta and Chicago blues, with plenty of stops along the dusty roads, river banks, broken country hearts and juke joints in between.
