Desert Botanical Garden

Debunking the myth that nothing beautiful grows in the desert, Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix boasts fifty acres of blooming flowers and plants. Accredited not only as a garden, but also as a living museum, the garden is a sanctuary for nearly 140 threatened or endangered species, representing flora from deserts around the world.

Additional Information: Culture Pass is valid for general Garden admission. Pass I not valid toward special events or exhibits including Las Noches de las Luminarias and entry into the Marshall Butterfly Pavilion. The Garden is closed on July 4, Thanksgiving Day and December 25.

The ballet will be performed in an intimate desert space of the Garden overlooking the dynamic red rocks of the Papago Buttes. Audiences will be inspired to see world class ballet and a world class garden through new eyes.

      11/21/09- Ongoing	Berlin Agave Yucca Forest Desert Botanical Garden Berlin Agave Yucca Forest Presented by Desert Botanical Garden at Desert Botanical Garden November 21, 2009 - Ongoing This new exhibit, made possible by a generous Tending the Garden Campaign gift from Howard and Joy Berlin, will showcase the diversity of the agave and nolina families. Local landscape architect Bob Thompson of e group led the exhibit team through hardscape and planting concepts and design. The 11,000 square foot exhibit, located south of the Sybil B. This tribute to one of rock music's most influential and controversial bands includes selections from the rock operas Tommy and Quadrophenia as well as classic Who hits including "My Generation," "I Can See for Miles," "Baba O'Riley," "Behind Blue Eyes" and much more.

      10/28/12- 04/28/13	Philip Haas: The Four Seasons Desert Botanical Garden Philip Haas: The Four Seasons Presented by Desert Botanical Garden at Desert Botanical Garden October 28, 2012-April 28, 2013 This fall, the Desert Botanical Garden will debut American artist and filmmaker Philip Haas' monumental work, The Four Seasons. Haas was inspired by the 16th century Italian artist, Giuseppe Arcimboldo, who painted imaginative portraits made entirely of such objects as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books.
