About the artist: Experimenting with a wide variety of fiber art techniques and designs, Laurie Fagen can take bright fabrics and create whimsy and fun … paint whole cloth for a soft Southwestern design … or fuse lame and other metallic fabrics and threads for a highly contemporary feel and whatever touches her fancy at the moment.
Fagen also incorporates her love of polymer clay into her work, by custom designing beads and other surface embellishments.
Her wall art and wearable art has been seen in galleries, shops, public spaces and private collections including in Arizona, California, Illinois, Iowa, Nevada, and North Carolina, and Fagen welcomes commissions that are highly personalized in nature to the recipient.
