    Film Festival - Osama PVCC Center for the Performing Arts Film Festival - Osama Presented by Paradise Valley Community College at PVCC Center for the Performing Arts January 27, 2010 - Ongoing Osama was made in Afghanistan in 2003 by Siddiq Barmak. This powerful film is about a 12-year-old Afghan girl who must rely on desperate measures to survive. She and her mother lose their jobs when the Taliban closes the hospital where they work The Taliban have also forbidden women from leaving their houses without a male "legal companion."
