Alwun House Gallery and Garden Stage

Alwun House Foundation, a non-profit arts organization since 1971, advocates the power of art to transform and enrich the experience of community. The house and surrounding gardens, occupy the northeast corner of Roosevelt and 12th Street. Architecturally and historically it is significant by its age (1912), and massive proud manor. Alwun House pioneered downtown's burgeoning art scene. Today, showcasing artists of various cultures and disciplines, providing collaborative opportunities to explore and refine their work.

Fetish Attire welcome. Entertainment by contemporary dance companies, Poe readings, body painting, camp horror videos, DJ's.
    12/08/12- 01/04/13	Lighthouse Alwun House Gallery and Garden Stage Lighthouse Presented by Alwun House Gallery and Garden Stage at Alwun House Gallery and Garden Stage December 8, 2012-January 4, 2013 Come play in the glow of Lighthouse. Luminous art is playfully displayed throughout the Alwun House gallery and gardens in Downtown Phoenix. Gallery lights are off as rooms are filled with self-illuminating art: light boxes, shadow boxes, shrines, sculpture, black light, neon, video, fire, lamps and even furniture. Exhibit Curator, Landy Headley, a popular art lighting designer, has invited a dozens valley artists.

Evolving over 29 years, this Opening night is a total sensory eye-poppin', heart-thumpin' Valentine experience on two stages including two floors of erotic-exotic art, two stages on cabaret performances, and basement body painting.
