Shakespeare's timeless tale of star-crossed lovers and undoubtedly the most famous love story in the English language, Romeo and Juliet teaches people the meaning of love, of forgiveness, and the terrible price of hatred and violence. Set in the beginning of the Italian Renaissance, the story covers less than a week in the lives of the two young lovers, yet the love they share is eternal and unforgettable. Don't miss this faithful retelling of one of Shakespeare's best, with one of SSC's strongest casts ever assembled. Ali Rose Dachis, coming to SSC directly from the Guthrie Theatre plays Juliet, and Michael Roush, who also has performed at the Guthrie as well as The Globe, plays Romeo.
