Adults' Night Out - Arts, Physics and Mastering the Mystery of Light
October 7, 2011
Austine Wood Comarow has spent over 40 years as an artist exclusively devoted to pushing the boundaries of a new artistic medium using polarized light and optically active materials. The wondrous figurative, yet changing images she creates are at once beautiful and mind-boggling. Austine will take us through her journey of discovery as she developed both a deep understanding of the mysteries of light and how she learned to apply its strange behaviors to creating tableaus of kinetic and interactive beauty. Her work appears in science and art museums, as well as private collections throughout the world.
