Classic Rock Hall of Fame Show
August 18, 2011
Skye presents Classic Rock Hall of Fame Show with special guest Erica Nicole.
Led by Musical Director, lead vocalist and bassist extraordinaire Bill Cinque of Abbey Road Memories, Classic Rock Hall of Fame celebrates the most productive decade of the rock era: 1965-1975. Those ten years produced the greatest songs of all time from rock's most talented and versatile groups. The Grass Roots brought "Midnight Confessions", "Temptation Eyes" and "Let's Live for Today". The Turtles had "Elenore", "She'd Rather Be With Me", and "Happy Together". Grand Funk revived "The Locomotion" and rode to stardom with "We're an American Band", "Bad Time to Be in Love", and "Some Kind of Wonderful". The Rascals took New York, and then the world, with "Good Lovin", "Groovin'", and "People Got to be Free". The Lovin' Spoonful asked "Do You Believe in Magic?" and celebrated "Summer in the City". The Guess Who's "These Eyes", "No Time", "Hand Me Down World", and "No Sugar Tonight" ruled radio, and ELO's "Showdown", "Tightrope", and "Evil Woman" took rock's classical influence to new heights. From Creedence Clearwater Revival to The Raspberries, from Three Dog Night to Tommy James - these great artists' unmatched songs come alive each night on stage with Classic Rock Hall of Fame.
Lead vocalist, Musical Director, Author and all around renaissance man Bill Cinque is a full time member of the U.S. lineup of Gerry and the Pacemakers, as well maintaining membership in Badfinger, the Peter Asher Band (formerly the Peter and Gordon Band), and the Tommy Cash Band. His first book, "The Amazing Adventures of a Marginally Successful Musician" is available at Amazon.com
Vocalist and guitarist Joe Campbell has spent the last 35 years contributing his musical magic to the likes of The Drifters, The Platters, The Dixie Cups, The Tokens, The Coasters, Johnny Thunder, Doug Kershaw, Cheryl Ladd, The Diamonds, and Wilson Pickett.
Keyboardist Hal Ratliff has spent more than 15 years with the Grass Roots, while moonlighting with the likes of
Chuck Berry, Roy Clark, and Little Anthony.
Drummer Christopher Allis is a studio veteran and favorite of producers Russell Pope (Supertramp) and Hank Linderman (America, Joni Mitchell, and Timothy B. Schmidt of The Eagles).
