The Western Canada native began her career playing a blend of country and rock with a playfully punk-like attitude, but since has gone on a creative and artistic journey through styles, sounds, songs and sensibilities. In recent years, lang has continued to craft remarkable solo albums and has collaborated with some of the other greats of the era, including Tony Bennett, who called her, "the best singer of her generation."
