Adults' Night Out - Senior Moments: Myths & Facts About the Normally Aging Brain

Changes in memory occur during the normal process of aging. More severe memory impairment is characteristic of two types of dementia observed in older people: Alzheimer's disease, and vascular dementia. These are significant societal problems that basic and clinically oriented neuroscience research are directed toward understanding, in the hope that memory deficits in health and disease can be ameliorated.
