The manipulation of any medium can relay a narrative, be it paint, film, or Beth Shook's preference- clay. Each piece in Journal Entries and Margin Notes is representative of a continuing autobiographical narrative that becomes allegory in the context of a shared world view. Entertaining notions of universality in small moments, these intimate works elicit stirrings of buried memories and imparted tales.
