The Black Theatre Troupe is proud to announce its exciting 41st Season! - A new season of stories, and a new, simplified subscription choice to make sure you don't miss any of them!

For the month of October, Black Theatre Troupe presents Fences in association with and performed at the Phoenix Theatre.

This Pulitzer Prize winning masterwork by August Wilson is currently on Broadway in a critically acclaimed revival starring Denzel Washington as Troy Maxson, a former star of the Negro baseball leagues who now works as a garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh. Excluded by segregation from the major leagues during his prime, Troy's bitterness takes its toll on his relationships with both his wife and son who now wants his own chance to play.
