Caught between desire and duty, their affair will shake the foundations of the known world! Written in Shakespeare's maturity, more than a dozen years after Romeo and Juliet, this tragedy, also about a pair of star-crossed lovers, tells the tale of two charismatic and powerful leaders who find in each other an irresistible yet unattainable equal. Ultimately trapped both by their own impulsiveness and by the forces of the world, this powerful love story is about two great leaders whose tempestuous love affair struggles to survive as Ancient Rome and Egypt tear them apart.
