Author Appearance: Diana Gabaldon
November 24, 2009
Scottsdale resident and internationally-acclaimed author Diana Gabaldon is bringing an early holiday treat to Glendale with a free appearance at the Roadrunner Room of Foothills Branch Library. Her newest installment in the Outlander series, "An Echo in the Bone" was released in September. In the eagerly anticipated seventh volume, Gabaldon continued the extraordinary story of the eighteenth-century Scotsman Jamie Fraser and his twentieth-century time-traveling wife, Claire Randall. Gabaldon, who will have just returned from an author tour in Canada, New Zealand and Australia, will talk about her writing and her books. A born storyteller, Gabaldon had a successful academic career before she took up the craft of fiction writing. Her books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. For more information, call Sarah at 623-930-3844.
