Mesa Arts Center will sponsor free concerts on the first Sunday of the month in the Wayne and Kathye Brown Sculpture Courtyard. Bring a snack and enjoy live music in a great setting. Schedule: October 4, 2009 - Jan Sandwich Trio; Jazz standards. November 1, 2009 - Dia de los Muertos Festival. December 6, 2009 - Zubia + DeGuvera, Americana soft indie rock guitar duo. Mark Zubia is from the well-known, nationally touring band Los Guys Emmett DeGuvera is from Tramps and Thieves. January 3, 2009 - Hot Club of Phoenix, Gypsy jazz in honor of the January birthdays of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli. February 7, 2009 - Riverproof, Rock, pop and variety from a Mesa band. March 7, 2009 - Exit 40, country, old time rock and roll and standards. May 2, 2009 - Todd Crowley's Musical Petting Zoo, folk and an interactive opportunity to experience folk instruments.
