Gypsy
January 8-February 21, 2010
Considered by many to be one of the greatest musicals ever written, Gypsy is a light-hearted musical drama based on the memoirs of 1930s burlesque entertainer, Gypsy Rose Lee. The legendary Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents joined to create one of the most complex characters in the American musical: Mama Rose, the ultimate stage mother. This 1959 blockbuster boasts an unforgettable score with such classic songs as "Everything's Coming up Roses," "Let Me Entertain You," and "Together, Wherever We Go."
