"O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A! Oklahoma OK!" This is one of the best known and best loved of all musical productions, as well as the first collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. A couple of young cowboys win the hearts of their sweethearts in the Oklahoma territory at the turn of the century, despite the interference of an evil ranch hand and a roaming peddler. With a string of numbers including "Oh What a Beautiful Morning," "Kansas City" and of course "OKLAHOMA!" this is a wonderful show to introduce children to musical theatre. Its happy outlook on life is a pleasant contrast to today's challenges. For all ages.
