An aviary is a large enclosure for confining birds. Unlike cages, aviaries allow birds a larger living space where they can fly. New work by local painter and mixed media artist Layla Luna explores the relationship between environment and subject by juxtaposing birds in front of wallpaper-inspired backgrounds. This connection is the artist's conversation between an untamed subject and a highly domesticated setting. Important Information: An opening reception will be held Friday, August 7 at 7:00pm.
