Love and freedom triumph in this joyful Rodgers and Hammerstein musical favorite. It's the uplifting story of a would-be nun, Maria, who is too high-spirited for religious life. She is dispatched to become governess to the seven children of a stern, widowed naval captain in Nazi-occupied Austria. Written by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse and based on the real-life story of the Trapp Family Singers. With favorite songs like "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" and "Edelweiss," it's one of everyone's favorite things.
